Lead by Head Coach (and New Rochelle basketball legend) Rasaun "Crabby" Young, ably assisted by his brother Rashiem, the New Rochelle Boys Varsity Basketball team made history in 2012-13 by coming just 7 points shy of New Rochelle's first-ever AA New York State Championship.  Along the way, the team received world-wide attention thanks to "The Shot" by Kahlil Edney to beat Mt. Vernon at the buzzer for the Gold Ball, iconic symbol of Section 1 Champions, in an unforgettable game at the storied Westchester County Center.  

 

They haven't stopped working since last season; they know everyone will be gunning for their shot at taking on the defending Section 1 Champs!
