Kelly Johnson is a master at bringing together all aspects of our community (and region) for the benefit of our youth - and is synonymous with New Rochelle youth basketball.

 

Since his December 1992 appointment as Executive Director of the New Rochelle Youth Bureau, Kelly initiated many collaborative projects designed to continually improve the quality of life for New Rochelle youth.  Such partnerships have included the Boys and Girls Clubs of New Rochelle, Inter-Religious Council of New Rochelle, New Rochelle Chamber of Commerce, New Rochelle City School District, New Rochelle Council of Community Services, New Rochelle Overall Economic Development Corporation, New Rochelle Parents Teachers Association, New Rochelle Police Department, New Rochelle Public Library, and the Sound Shore Medical Center.

 

Even with his demanding schedule as Youth Bureau Director, Kelly finds time to be affiliated with the following organizations: New Rochelle Council of Community Services, Vice President; Youth Committee for New Rochelle Council of Community Services, Chairman; New York State Association of Youth Bureaus, Member; Taconic Youth Bureau Association, Member; Westchester Children's Association, Member; Omicron Iota Chapter of the Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc., Vice President; Remington Men's Club of the Boys and Girls Clubs of New Rochelle, founder/director; New Rochelle Youth Court, Member; Westchester Mediation Center of CLUSTER Advisory Board; and New Rochelle Campership Board, Member

 

Kelly Johnson is a product of the New Rochelle Public School System and received a Bachelor of Business Administration from Iona College.
