Also present was another New Rochelle "success story" - NRHS basketball star, NRBA Board Member (and now world-famous boys basketball coach) Rasaun "Crabby" Young. After Coach Young thanked Pat for his commitment to the community, Mr. Young presented Mr. Vaccaro with a replica of his Wall of Distinguished Alumni plaque.
PAT VACCARO NIGHT ... WAS A HUGE SUCCESS!!!

On Friday, February 1, 2013, the New Rochelle Basketball Association invited family, friends and associates of its President to PAT VACCARO NIGHT, a reception celebrating Pat's enshrinement on New Rochelle High School's WALL OF DISTINGUISHED ALUMNI. Held at the Ritz-Carlton, Westchester, the evening was sponsored by Jackson Lewis, LLP, the national labor and employment law firm that Pat lead to new heights as Managing Partner for the past 6 1/2 years. (Many thanks to Pat's successor as Managing Partner, Vincent Cino, for all of his help in making this special night a reality!)
In addition to a replica of the plaque on the High School's Wall presented by New Rochelle HS Athletic Director Steve Young, Mr. Vaccaro received presentations from County Executive Rob Astorino, County Legislators Jim Maisano and Sheila Marcotte and New Rochelle Councilman Lou Trangucci.
The proceeds from the evening went to benefit the NRBA's programming, and in particular, the Annual "Pat Vaccaro Award" given to the graduating members of both the Girls and Boys High School Varsity teams who best represent the values of effort, integrity and loyalty to the program in which Pat so firmly believes.
New Rochelle Youth Bureau Executive Director (and NRBA Vice President) Kelly Johnson spoke about Mr. Vaccaro's contributions to New Rochelle's youth and introduced "success stories" including NRHS graduates NFL safety Courtney Greene and Tim McKnight, who represented Steiner Sports in conducting a silent auction of sports memorabilia.
